The Original Just For The Halibut
Reviews

My friends and I dined at Just For The Halibut on Saturday, April 26th, 2014. We were a table of 4 women. One of us (not me) was celebrating her 50th birthday. The service was impeccable as was the food. We have all eaten there before and enjoyed it. We had an assortment of appetizers (I really recommend the escargot!) and various entrees. They were all excellent. I personally had the bacon wrapped "senior" steak (5 oz.) and it was cooked to perfection. I would say that the steak was up to the same standard as any really good steakhouse. We had no room for dessert but had a specialty coffee to complete our meals. The staff put a candle in my friend's specialty coffee (it was whipped cream topped - REAL whipped cream) and sang Happy Birthday to her. This restaurant is not inexpensive but the ambiance, food and service make it a very worthwhile dining experience. I recommend that you make reservations. I will be returning there again for my next special outing. I am sure it will be just as memorable.

We visted Easter Sunday meeting up with friends. Our server was Dave who was excellent my wife and I were not in the mood for seafood so Dave recommended the roast beef and the burger. I had the burger and my wife had the beef. Both were excellent, in fact I think my burger was the best burger I have ever had in the Kawartha's. Well done folks, and thanks Dave for good service and great recommendations. rick & marlene

Nice atmosphere, good service, good food. No complaints here!

Great fish and chips place... Great owners service. We come here every summer on vacation.

Incredibly good food from stuffed sole to scallops, delicious pasta, curry and even an excellent steak. Went with the whole family, everyone left full and happy and impressed with the food. Per plate cost was around seventeen dollars most of which were seafood based.
