Black Dog Village Pub & Bistro
Reviews

Sunday dinner, roast beef and Yorkshire pudding washed down with a pint of pilsner Urquell, life does not get much better! Beef was cooked to perfection and they had totally nailed the Yorkshires. Staff obviously took pride in their jobs and service was excellent.

Meatloaf sandwich is excellent!

Great food, great staff, friendly owner, great live music! Best scotch and imported beer selection of a pub I've been in.

My partner and I were visiting my family for the first time since they moved to Bayfield and on Friday, July 22, 2011 we went to the Black Dog at around 11 pm and upon entering the pub we were not so much greeted as barked at that the kitchen was closed. No, "Hi!" or "hello, sit wherever you like". We still decided to stay for some drinks and the four of us sat at a table and remained seated for about five to ten minutes without ever again being acknowledged. None of the staff who were gathered in the back came over to us. What a disappointment. The four of us left and went to the Docks and ended up going there for the rest of the weekend. Now, that place has friendly staff that know a thing or two about service. Kudos to them for getting it right.

my favourite place to play and my favourite people ever
