Earls Restaurant
Reviews
My cousins and I have been coming in to Earls St. Vital for over four years now. Inevitably, it's for bacon cheddar burgers with cokes in chilled pint glasses (actually, I always snag the Rhino pale ale because it's one of the greatest inventions since color TV and free speech). Inevitably, we end up sitting in the corner booth at 11:30 am in the lounge. Why have we been consistently coming back all these years? Because virtually everything at the St. Vital location bespeaks confidence, efficiency, hospitality, authenticity and perhaps most importantly: warmth. You feel it as soon as you step past that deliciously glowing fireplace and plop yourself into the spacious, well-lit lounge. The hostesses want to be there. Two months back a hostess who was helping out another customer saw me sit down and, when she had finished sharing the daily features with them, promptly came over and introduced herself as Sydney. "You and your family come in here a lot!! Welcome back!!" It wasn't fake, pompous, showy advertisement-ish....it was real. She established a connection, and persistently follows through on that connection each time we come back. WHO DOES THAT? Earls does awwwww yeah. They train 'em well from the ground up. Speaking of the servers, they are awesome. We usually get Josy helping us out, what a delight!!! Boisterous, cheerful, as natural in front of clients as if she knew them for decades. The lounge is a comfortable place. The servers blast through 7 or eight (or twelve) tables with the timeliness of a general and the commitment of a friend. The bacon cheddars that come out of the kitchen put airbrushed burger ads to shame. How can artfully presented, sizzling, in-house smashed burgers that taste and look like heaven exist so often? How come we get so royally treated every single time? Because the kitchen staff are geniuses, that and whoever trained them. Well done crew! Anyway, we didn't feel compelled to write this review. It came from our hearts. The last meal we had there was bought us by the leader (I think her name is Meghan?). She didn't even come over to brag about it. Just a silent, "we appreciate you!" Holy cow.....generous much? Equally awesome is the new leader Laura. What a jackpot of authenticity!!! Where did you find such a staff?!! Keep rocking it Earls St. Vital. We've been telling everyone about you. We don't plan on stopping either.
Full rack of mouthwatering, fall-off-the bone baby back ribs, $ 25!!! What more could heaven offer!
Great place, great food.
