I booked overflow family members into this hotel for 1 night 25th December 2015 I was given the key to room 5 ... When I checked the room the bed had been used and the wastebasket was full of empty beercans. I was given the key to room 2 instead - the beds were made up, appeared unused and the carpet looked clean - unfortunately I didn't check further and gave the key to my family when they arrived late on 25th. My family arrived back on my doorstep at 5am next day - they couldn't stay in the room due to being bitten by bedbugs and had slept in their car - they had been afraid to turn on the light as the switch was hanging off the wall.
It was one of the worst hotel i stayed in Australia: the service is good, regarding the location, but the rooms are aweful: noisy at the back (i know that staff has to work but throw in the bin a lot of bottles at night...), 50pct of stuffs broken in the room, dirt around beds and in wardrobe,... Not a lot of choice in Toodyay, but will definitely bring my tent next time. Have a look to the Victoria Hotel maybe.
