Mildura Brewery Pub
Reviews
With a stunning location inside the former Astor Theatre, the Mildura Brewery is without a doubt one of the classiest looking brew-pubs I've had the pleasure of being inside. Their tasting paddle is a big one. Stefano's Pilsner and the Astor Ale are the pick of the bunch. I didn't eat here but there was popcorn provided with the drinks which was a nice touch. The bar staff were knowledgable and friendly and happy to chat about the beers.
Location is the main event, set in an old theatre with the bewery in full view. Food had the potential of been excellent, but. My steak was over cooked.
Great beer, atmosphere and steak. However, wouldn't rate the other food we had, especially considering its origins (Stefano's kitchens).
Have been to Mildura 3 times whilst touring in my band. Each time, we make sure we stopped at the Brewery for lunch, dinner, or just a casual drink. Great food and atmosphere and they have an awesome selection of their own brews on tap. Probably one of the largest and most diverse tasting paddles I have ever had. I continue to buy there beers if I stumble upon them in a bottle shop in Melbourne.
Have not been to the Mildura brewery for a while, it did use to be good, thought I would take a few friends to try the chicken platter, very ordinary no charcoal roast flavour to it at all, mash potato small serve, veges they were very small serve also, had better chickens from Coles. At ten dollars for a small bowl of chips is outrageous. Save your money go and get fish and chips from your local, or chicken from coles.
