I'm absolutely appalled with the Kitchen Chef of the Mansfield Hotel ~ we were there last Saturday night 7th June for dinner. We were seated in their function room which was so noisy. We ordered at 6:15pm ~ after waiting an hour for our dinner (7:20pm) we asked for 7 bread rolls (1 for each child ) which was denied from the Chef....a measly 7 dinner rolls even when the meals were Adult sizes not kids size!!! Children were expected to sit for another 20mins on top of the hour already waiting ~ just not good enough ~ denying young children's hungry tummies.. 2 People ordered 'Seafood Pizza' was supposed to have prawns so the menu stated ~ they came out burnt around the edges and the Prawns had turned into SEAFOOD EXTENDER ~ NO PRAWNS AT ALL. Purely Extender (made out of fish pieces and tripe ~ disgusting to say the least). A warm chicken salad was stone cold. Meals all arrived at different times ~ 25mins from the 1st to the last, just not good enough. Well Mansfield Hotel, you need to really look at your business and they way you run ~ I would never recommend this Hotel to anybody ~

We have been goin to the Mansfield for a couple of years now, on a semi regular basis, Unfortunatly its become a real hit or miss on service and food quality, of late, IE::Multipul food orders arrive at differant times, EX: upto 15 mins apart Food has been cold on occassion or simple forgot from the order. Staff have failed to even offer a reason for the lateness of order or even to responed to a request on food arrival times. When the food has arrived we have been quite vocally reminded they are extremely busy, and we should be patient, even though the order is over an hour late. The Pizza Orders for table service are not at all timed to come with the main course, more than not they are delivered during the deserts or later, Then reminded by the staff, they only have 2 pizza ovens and we should know that when orderin our meals, ( there is no advise in menu or at the counter of such conditions on ordering pizza with the other meals) In all at this piont l would have to say the Staff and Managment of the Mansfield Hotel, need to go back to the school of good service, and learn, PS l and many others were outraged at this common behavior described above and for the forseeabul future givin it the big thumbs down to the Management and staff of the Mansfield Hotel
I'm really impressed. We dropped in for dinner in a party of 9 with four kids under 8 years old, after a day at the snow. It was a breeze to make three separate orders for the same table set to arrive at the same time. We were asked if we wanted all the kids meals to come first (a very good idea). Ten minutes later I realised I hadn't asked for a tax receipt. Finding it and printing it was no problem. The meals came quickly, they were all great. Then one of our party accidentally broke a glass and the shards fell across one of the kid's pizzas. A staff member cleared away the mess and replaced our pizza at no charge within five minutes. By the end of the meal we were all talking about what a great place this is. We will definitely be back.
Great service! came with a group of around 60 people. Food was served fast, hot and delicious, and the staff were VERY friendly! Nothing but praise from us :)
