As a man of taste, refinement and particular needs it's not often that I find an establishment where I truly feel at home and respected. The staff at this charming venue took care of my every whim and the owner was always more than willing to come down and sit at our table to share a drink and regale us with stories of days gone by. This happened repeatedly throughout the evening, which I found utterly endearing, although my guest described his attentions as somewhat forward. If, like me, you are a seeker of the genuinely unique experience, I would certainly recommend this remarkable jewel in the crown of Geelong's nightlife for your next important occasion. Tip: Ask about Luke's under the counter selections, or 'special reserve' as he prefers to describe it. Memories to savour for a lifetime.
Amazing! Luke's House of Whiskey is the finest establishment in Geelong, with a vast selection of alcohols, including Geelong's only locally brewed whiskey. Each batch is unique, which ranges from pretty damn tasty, to nectar of the gods. Also included in this sanctum fit for kings and stars (and a host of both, during my last visit I treated myself to Luke's whiskey and a Montecristo Sublime cigar, whilst making idle chat with William Shatner, Craig Ferguson, and his Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden) is a refrigerated buffet, free to all who purchase a glass of Luke's whiskey on the rocks, however if you plan on going with several people, make sure you book in advance to ensure there is enough food for your party. To summarise, Luke's House of Whiskey is home to all of the greatest experiences I have had in my life, in the three years I have been visiting, I have seen the seed of love plant and bloom, I have seen differences forgotten and loud friendships punctuated with toothy grins form and last, I have seen men on their last legs catch a fresh wind in their sails, this place truly is bliss incarnate.
I have lived in Geelong all my life, and never have I seen such knowledge, appreciation, and passion for fine whiskey. From the atmosphere to the service, to the immaculate steak, a solid 5/5
