Last night had a great birthday dinner with family & friends! The service & meal were both very good and the staff very friendly. Birthday cake was great as well! Tthe staff hang around to sing, don't just dump the cake & go! yep! Loved it.

I have been to many Hogs Breath Cafe's in different locations and always love their steaks. When Springfield Hogs Breath opened up, I was very happy. We went not too long after opening. Ordered our drinks and meal. The drinks never came. We inquired the status of the drinks and the staff were very apologetic and they still never came. After the 3rd inquiry and an hour after ordering, the drinks came and then we waited another 45 minutes for the food. The food was very good but the service was appalling. We thought this was just a bad night. Had my 40th birthday there with 15 guests booked. We were crammed into a table that only fitted 10 people. After an obvious issue, we were eventually re-located to a slightly larger table.The staff then neglected our table completely. We had to get our own plates etc, menus and grabbed a staff member to place our order. For the second time in a row, the drinks never came and after 1.5hrs of turning up, we finally ate. The kids were tired, grumpy, the meals were under / over cooked and in some cases completely wrong. Experience number 2 - not good. I always try places in 3's. last night we went again. Just after opening 17:00, we got a seat, the order was taken and the meal turned up very fast. I ordered my usual, medium rare steak and my wife has the salmon. The salmon was very dry and my steak was well done. I showed the staff and they were very sorry and took it away and replaced the meal. I then opened the steak up and again the steak was well done. By this stage, I was not impressed. The assistant manager came to me and apologised. By this stage, my wife had finished her meal and I still hadn't eaten. They said they were very sorry and didn't charge me for my meal but charged my wife full price for hers. They then proceeded to tell me that I should have ordered the steak blue and then when it arrived, return it to have it re-cooked to medium rare. This was the final straw and I will not recommend this place again. I'm not a bitter man but very disappointed at how this place can operate so appalling.

Excellent location, excellent service, and generous portions. The manager greets you at the counter and all the staff have the hoggies spirit that makes them the best restaurants in Australia.
