Reef Point Cafe

Worst service ever in Redcliffe the girl at the till who I would hardly call a waitress was rude and looked like she couldn't be bothered working let alone take my order , it was an effort to change the order slightly I didn't take my table number to counter & was told in a rather rude manner to go get it any good wait person would know the lay out of the tables since the tables numbers were already on the tables , when our coffee arrived 20 mins later in mugs when ordered in cups it was a huge effort for her to take them back , she couldn't work out what the issue was" its in a bigger cup" Food was ok did have to wait despite it not being that busy fish cakes were lacking any fish & flavor at all & were over salted . Would not recommend this place or the staff or the coffee
Sunday morning-they were flat out- very accommodating. Watched how they helped a family group get undercover from the rain, and wind. Food is always fresh, and delicious. Service is efficient, and friendly. The view is breathtaking.
The atmosphere is fabulous with views across Deception Bay to the Glass House mountains. You can sit out under the shady trees on the deck or inside where its cozy. The plates are generous and the food quality good value for money. The service is always friendly. The café welcomes dog lovers with bowls of water strategically placed. Kids are catered for with toys available and a great kids menu. Live music on the weekends but make sure you book! Breakfast on Sundays is impossible if you've not made a reservation giving testimony to this place. If you'd ever seen this café before Amanda and Co. took it over you'd know just what a magnificent job this team have done in making Reef Point Café one of the nicest dining spots on the Peninsula.
Excellent food and very good value. Lovely surroundings and cheerful staff.
We recently returned to this cafe for a coffee. We had been semi-regular customers for nearly a year and had no problems previously. However, this time we were subjected to awful customer service, simple orders served incorrectly and senior staff being indifferent and uninterested about our experiences. One staff member seemed more interested in "claiming" wrongly prepared food than serving drinks without spilling them. Another staff member obviously didn't enjoy working that day as he constantly gave dirty looks to customers and was very short with tourists who were confused about the change they were given. When we raised this with the senior staff member, she gave us excuses and effectively brushed off our concerns. As such we will never return, which is disappointing as the cafe is in a wonderfully relaxing location and was our first stop when we wanted a coffee with family and friends. But not any more. From now on we will find another place to spend our money.
