The Irish Village

we came through town on a very quiet wednesday evening and this seemed like the best place to eat. pretty gutted to pay $19 for a beer and a rum & coke. ordered the parmiagana and a pizza - wrong pizza arrived. waited five minutes at an unattended bar to get it fixed. overpriced and terrible service. also for a place that proclaims itself an irish pub, they can't pour a pint of guinness and there's no smoking area. don't even bother with it.
If you like a miners quarters, King single? a 3/4 is how I say it, NO in room shower or toilet. Banging and loud noises through the halls, no privacy ... This is for you.. They couldn't pay me to stay 2hrs again.. I spent 2 hrs there and found another Motel... If I could rate this place out of 10... 0 Pay the extra $5 and enjoy another place Good Luck Irish Village
Don't EVER visit the Irish village in Emerald. Went here, ordered beers, opened a tally and were offered a free plate of nibbles because the kitchen had not opened yet. So far so good I thought. We were planning to have dinner there. Ten minutes later we were asked to finish our beers and leave because we were not meeting the dress code!!! It's 6pm and still 38 degrees outside and we are wearing shorts, nice shirts and reef thongs. The excuse was we weren't wearing collar shirts and I'm certainly NOT wearing heels on vacation! We have gladly taken our business to the pub next door! If you want to keep up a dress code, you should do so upfront, and not have people look at the menu and order beer. Ridiculous.
