What a beautiful view of Morpeth and the Hunter River right from their tables outside! Had a lovely meal, great coffee and with awesome service. No sour faced waitress in sight! :) Would recommend to anyone.
The highlight of our trip to Morpeth was a wonderful lunch at Maggie G's. Friendly, personable staff and the owner went out of his way to make us feel welcome. The alfresco dining was complemented by the stunning scenery and atmosphere. Highly recommend it and we will be back.
How disappointing firstly to be greeted by a sour faced waitress (should have walked out then) and secondly once we had ordered and paid for our coffee's we were then told that we could not sit a table outside unless we ordered a main meal which is totally ridiculous. Thirdly we still did not learn a lesson as we returned once again to order a main meal so we could sit outside in the sunshine only to be ignored for the first 5 minutes before being told by a waitress passing through the cafe that it was now closed - no can I help you, or sorry we are now closing up. Plenty of cafe's in Morpeth give this one a big miss.
