During a family holiday to Merimbula, we had a wonderful dining experience at Pier One. The location was a little difficult to find, however well worth walking up the stairs to fantastic lake views of Merimbula. We were greeted by a very polite young lady who sat us by the window. Staff were more than helpful and very friendly. Lunch was outstanding so we decided to dine with them for our final night where we enjoyed superb meals (tender eye fillet and salt and pepper barramundi). Would definitely recommend and will be back again. Thanks Pier One!

As a party of four on holidays we enjoyed a wonderful lunch looking out over the inlet. We experienced great service from our waitress Michele and our hosts Shane & Jewel should be proud of their business. The food was attractively presented and well cooked. I am pleased to recomend this restaurant for a great lunch. Phil 13th Feb. 2010

We had a very disappointing dinner experience at Pier One. None of the four meals were particularly flavourful, and the service was also rushed and the servers inattentive. When paying the owner asked how the special pancetta wrapped scallops were? I replied they were overly salty and not particularly big- his curt reply was "well, pancetta is salty". I am well aware of this, but I'm quite convinced the thick cut meat was actually bacon. A very disappointing evening all round, topped off by the rude owner... Obviously happy taking tourists money and not aiming for return customers.

Having a meeting with a visitor from Wollongong is never easy in a restaurant but Pier One was great.....a table by the window, not too much noise, despite the popularity of the place. We both decided on the $10 lunch and a simple request to the bubbly waitress resulted in a chicken crepe that was perfection for me, whilst my colleague enjoyed the beef shaslick. Adjusting the menu was not an issue, something I have struggled with at other restaurants. I'll certainly be suggesting Pier One to others
