Used to go here multiple times a week even. Love the atmosphere, very relaxing and the service and people running Shi Chai are very nice, serviceable and just fun to have a conversation with. Also their customers tend to be all very nice chill people. The hookah is great but going so much gets a little pricey and with a friends hookah being left at my apartment there is not much reason to go out and spend the extra dough. Miss this place though and I highly recommend it, just a fun place to hang and chill with your friends. The food isn't much, the nachos are good but simple and the pizza looks store bought but everything is cooked well and is a decent compliment to the hookah. I love the smoothies though got to get one of those if you go, they're amazing! Updated 2/5/14: Lost a star for me last night. Hadn't been there in a while but the service was very poor from what I had experienced in the past. The wait staff just stared at us for 10 minutes while we are no longer looking at the menus before checking in on us to put our order in. Seems like the place is going through renovations as well. Staff seemed very un-enthused to be there which wasn't the case in the past.

I dont want to write a review to trash this place because they do have great prices for coals and hookah. i want to like this place but the owner Saif (or who ever) is a jerk to myself and other friends that have patronized this establishment. he has never been helpful and will go out of his way to avoid me and others when buying flavors. at times have been blatantly rude stating "can you please hurry up and decide" or "i don't know your taste so i cant help you pick" in very nasty tones. even while questioning flavor that im about to buy!! i received a bad hookah one night, the smoke was very harsh after 10min of smoking and not knowing much about hookah at the time he refused to fix it without charging me full price for another???! this may not be everyone's experience with this guy but i wouldn't write this review if this wasn't behavior i observed him doing not just to me but others that im friends with and associate with. good smoothies but as far as food goes its sub par at best. the decor is nice and there are other workers that are very friendly & helpful but im a little turned off by this place.

I go to this spot about once a week, and there's a few good reasons why I keep coming back. For one thing, the atmosphere is very relaxed, even when the place is full. You'd have trouble finding something to dislike about the other customers or the staff, who are likable and run things very efficiently. Waiting times are never long -- I've never waited more than 5 minutes, myself. As for the prices, I'll not pretend that they aren't a bit high. The hookahs that they have for sale are generally far overpriced. The experience and the wide range of flavors offered, however, more than make up for the prices -- and they do have a wide range of flavors, as FIFTY flavors are available to smoke in-shop, while even more are available for sale. In the back, there's some kind of a VIP room -- I've not been there, but it looks nice. The rest of the shop, well, kind of just looks like a bar. It's not pristine, but I didn't really expect it to be. The hookahs are usually clean; I once got a little bit of something that jumped out of the hose at me, but it's not common. If Shi Chai were to lower their prices a dollar or two on mostly everything, it would be my go-to place to spend free time.

Excellent service , nice roomy VIP Suite in the back, excellent hookah preparation and amazing list of flavors for u to choose from. Food however i haven't tried yet so I couldn't rate..
