Amazing hamburgers! The meat they use is ground fresh daily. The flavor is the perfect mix of garlic and black pepper, on a seasoned griddle! The bar has been featured in several movies filmed in central texas including The rookie staring Dennis Quaid. Also...always a good time to go by and stop in for a beer...talk to the locals, Taylor is an interesting departure from Austin's urban weirdness. A town founded by Germans!
Ed's has a very small burger/grill menu. Very basic, burgers, grilled cheese, quesadillas= spelled strangely on the menu. It's more of a neighborhood bar but they welcome all ages. Perfect juicy burger, bag of potato chips and a can of Coke cost $5-6 and is so much better than the chain burgers. Missing star is because they do not serve fries or Mt Dew.
Hidden GEM! One of the best burgers in the state for sure. I've been to most of the top 10 burgers joints on the Texas Monthly top burger list, and they don't have anything on Eds Place. When you get there, dont be afraid to walk in because of the looks. That's part of the fun. Very friendly waitress/bartender. Decor is awesome too.
