I thought the tacos were a little pricey at first, but definitely worth it! They are huge! Had the beef fajita tacos, made with smoked meat, probably the best tacos I've ever had.

the best in Texas!

Having lived all over Texas and having tried MANY Mexican food places, I am very particular about fajita's. I've tried Fajita's in El Paso, Midland, Dallas, Ft. Worth, San Antonio, Austin and a mirad of other places. It has always irritated me to go into a Mexican food place, order Fajita's and find them to be bland and rely on toppings to cover up their laziness. I live in Uvalde and used to drive past Nora's Taco weekly. It looks like a little hole-in-the-wall type place and for years, I never stopped. I did however notice that it was always busy. So, one day when I was very hungry, I decided, what the heck. Let me tell you folks, I am not exaggerating when I say these are THE BEST fajita's I've ever eaten; chicken or beef. Nora cooks everything fresh out on the grill outdoors, all of her vegetables are fresh and the tortillas are home-made. This place is worth the drive folks. If you go order the Chicken or beef and get them loaded. They come with home made pico de gallo, fresh sliced avocado, fresh grilled onion and home made salsa (if you choose). When my brother comes down from Dallas, he buys eight of them on his way home. Try this place folks, you won't be disappointed! The only problem is that they are only open until 2PM.
