I usually go to Shishas but my friend and I decided to try Narahs out last night. Horrible mistake. We went about 7pm and chose a small corner booth, it wasn't very crowded for a Sat evening and the atmosphere was pretty laid back. However as the night progressed and more people started to arrive I started noticing the staff were directing/demanding customers sit at certain places. About 8:30 one of the staff came over to our table and proceeded to tell us he was moving us to a table in the middle of the room and even as we were trying to understand why he just started moving our stuff. He told us it was for a reservation yet we had never been told about a reservation for that spot and the way he went about telling/demanding we move was extremely disrespectful. After he killed our night with his disregard for us we proceeded to try and check out and when our waitress was trying to understand why we were moved the rude man came over and tried to talk over her and started to disrespect her in front of us. That was the first and last time I will ever go to this place. Horrible furniture and horrible customer service. only good thing it has going for it is the flavors and hookah equipment.
The food is good but the service is intolerable and, Additionally, you can bring in your own booze but you can't have the bottle at the table to serve yourself, I let waiter to pore beer in to glass and guess what!!! He pored it like it was water, half of beer was on the floor and half became foam. Moreover its additional five dollars for each person to drink an alcohol. If you are going to eat food there then it's ok otherwise pay $5 for $7 beer. I cant talk about Hookah at all, it was worst hookah of my life. We all had headache after taking those deep puffs. Also, you have to cry for coal. That too only one coal per hookah. I will never go back there again may be for food but "Narah cafe" has to be last place in the world.
Narah Cafe was incredible for lunch for our small business meeting. The service was on point. The food was very fresh and authentic like at the mother land. The pricing was very affordable for the quality & portion. I will be back with the 1st Choice Chimney techs.
Awesome service! Abit pricy but well worth it.
The food is good but the service is intolerable and, get this, you can bring in your own booze but you can't have the bottle at the table to serve yourself as the establishment doesn't want to offend its numerous Muslim patrons (evidently they find it offensive). What!?!?! They take the bottle to the kitchen and refill your glass back there. Right. On top of that I was able to make the following observation.....as I stated the restaurant is frequented by many patrons of middle-eastern descent. So many, in fact you'll find you're in the minority if you're caucasian. No big deal to me until bit by bit started to notice they get preferential treatment. Maybe it's because they're regulars, I can't say for sure, but on the last few visits middle-eastern patrons that were seated near us after we were seated got their food earlier and received better service than we did. First time was noticeable, second time suspicious, third time and I was done. It's a shame as the food is pretty good, but I won't be made to feel like a second class citizen in my own country. The college kids that are there to hang with their friends and smoke don't seem to notice it as they likely feel the place is "hip", but this taxpayer a savvy social observer sure as hell did and didn't like the vibe one bit.
