Mio Vino Wine Bar & Bistro

Went last night when we found the kids all had plans. Nice night. Very busy there, and noisy. Someone helped us right away, and while we waited for a table to be set, 3 other employees checked to make sure we had been helped. The service was spectacular, and the owner checked in on us a number of times, and helped us with a special wine choice from the new, yet to be released menu, as he felt it was a much better wine for the same cost. As to cost, it is not inexpensive. Scallop & risotto dinner, pancetta 10" pizza, 1 bottle of wine = $75. No apps, no dessert. However, the dinners were very nice, and nicely presented, and everything was fresh. Would go again.
Had an absolutely horrible experience. The staff are very poorly trained and simply do not know how to take care of a customer. I'd recommend this place for enjoying wine only; the food was extremely disappointing and almost made the entire experience seem pretentious.
We all could not stop talking abt the whole experience. Excellent every step of the way! I cannot wait to go back.
Had dinner there last night. The inside dining room was very cold, so we decided for a table on the patio. Service was so slow. Dinner and drinks for 2 took more than 2 hours. I don't like to be rushed, but it began to feel like we were an after thought. A table close to us got up and left due to the wait. We stuck it out, the food was good. While we were waiting g on the desert menus, one of the owners brought the kitchen staff outside and was berating them over the nights dinner service. The language used was terrible and they were only 8 ft from our table. A bus girl who was cleaning tables apologized but it made us very uncomfortable. Not sure we will go back.
Excellent every time! Great vegetarian options!
