Best wrong turn we've made in a long time! In a Shell station, in the middle of Pecos, NM, lies some of the best home-made Mexican food you'll ever eat. Alejandro makes everything fresh daily and it tastes like it. Pray that you are lucky enough to have Fran working at the register. She makes you feel right at home and has a huge heart. You'll get a smile from Alejandro when he hands you your order and you'll find yourself saying goodbye using everyone's first name. Thanks Panchos! You made our night. If you are not a local and ever find yourself in Pecos, NM in the morning...you absolutely HAVE to go to Pancho's in the Shell station convenience store to get yourself a breakfast burrito. Your choice of red or green chili and your choice of meat, they add eggs, cheese, potatoes, and love, and you get an incredible burrito. I go there on the same day every year with a group on our way to the Pecos Wilderness for a week of hiking, and we always stop at Pancho's. I usually start drooling about three days before we get there.
