Salvatori's
Reviews
I've been to both of the Salvatori's in Fort Wayne, and while this one is a bit hidden in New Haven as well as somewhat small in size, the food is awesome. The baked penne is my go-to, and the serving size is enough for two meals.
The best italian food I have ever had. Wonderfull service worth every penny. The rotini and sausage is amazing. I recommend any alfredo dish. I am from the area and didn't know italian food until I ate there. Casa in fort wayne tastes like chef boyardee compared to salvatori's. Cant say enough about the quality and flavor of there food amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ps don't let the the location fool you it shares a building with gas station and taco bell.
DO NOT EAT HERE. I have never been so misled by reviews in my life. We were unfamiliar with the area and looking for a good place to eat after having been disappointed with food choices the past few meals. People reviewed this as having been the best authentic Italian food they'd ever had - I feel bad for them. This food was borderline disgusting. My white sauce was way too salty and the ravioli was bland. I tasted my fiance's baked penne and thought the meat sauce was even worse. If any of it was homemade, I would be surprised. Oh, and the place is in a gas station. Next to a Taco Bell. Not my idea of an inviting location.
Don't judge a book by its cover! This place was a wonderful surprise. Very good food and generous portions.
Food was terrific. Wait staff was awesome. Waiting a hour for a table was disappointing. When the hostess told us we only had about a hour to eat because they needed the table for another party really SUCKED! What ever happened to customer service.
