Great service. Awesome food. Our favorite place to eat. From their famous dollar tacos to their fresh, made at your table, guacamole to everything in between, the food here is quality. Gallo is the best!
Not sure why people give them such great reviews. I would give 0 stars if I could. Perhaps some fake reviews in the mix. The food is average. Small portions for a large price. They don't seem to do refills on drinks either. Our server was oblivious to the fact we would like a refill on our drinks. There was staff running all around and you would think that someone would offer us a refill or see how we were doing. When it came time to pay the server was all over taking our money, but had no time to take care of us. I felt ripped off having to pay so much for very little food and poor service.
Walk in and forget you're in Idaho for awhile. The proprietors are always around to chat with their guests. Best authentic Mexican food in an authentic Mexican cantina in the Treasure Valley and perhaps beyond! I reserve a star for speed of service, but I really don't care about that. I come here to escape and gorge without being in a hurry.
Have heard about this place for years and finally stopped in to check it out. The place was very busy, but our young server was still very attentive. It did take a while for us to get our food, but I believe it was because everything was made fresh and to order, so we were more than happy to wait for good fresh food! Great value and food. Will definitely go again - just sorry we waited so long to go!
