Fabulous atmosphere, food and service. We will definitely make a point to come back thru on our next Florida run. Wonderful change from the slop we're used to at truck stops.

Driving back from the Fla. Panhandle & took a chance in Cross City @ lunchtime when we saw a lot of cars in the parking lot. They had a lunch buffet with shatteringly crisp fried chicken that was very juicy and finger-licking good. $7 for chicken, fresh lima beans, turnip greens, mac 'n cheese, spaghetti w/ meat sauce, cornbread or biscuits, salad bar, & some kind of dessert. Includes a drink. Yum yum. I'm very particular about fried chicken - it has to be as good as my Mother's. This measured up. As crispy bits of the chicken skin fell off, I made sure to put them on my beans so I didn't miss anything. This place goes on our list whenever we're driving north on U.S. 19.
