The best place to party and relax with friends. On Friday and Saturday they have cigars and hookah! Live music and a DJ in their sister bar Scarlets. 3 Clubs in one! !!
I like coming here on country nights. A way different and much more courteous crowd than any other night. drinks are good, live music is appealing but the place ALWAYS smells like urine. They really need to rip that disgusting carpet out! It's a freakin bar! Drinks will be spilled AMD.they clearly don't clean that floor EVER so it always smells like mold.and.urine.
Not really my scene, but decent enough for the area. Located at the far end of Sutter Street close to Chicago Fire Pizza, there are bands that play here and a small dance floor. The eclectic interior has seen better days and there are two restroom areas. One is absolutely disgusting -- it is shared with Scarlet's next door. The other is slightly better, but not enough stalls in my opinion. Like Scarlet's, there is a phone that calls Chicago Fire next door. You can order pizza and someone will deliver to the bar for you. Last time I was here, the band was sooo loud, that I stuffed bits of napkin in my ears to block out the noise, realized that I looked like a freak and then left.
The Powerhouse rocks with rock bands. Every time I come here I see a good one. I caught Tommy Castro here once and I can't imagine a better place to see him play. Good beer, great vibe, cool crowd and Old Town Folsom is a great place to walk around. Nice to see them doing well.
I always have a great time at the power house. Yes there is a cover most nights and the drinks are a bit $ but the bands are usually legit and I've never seen a real fight here. Jennifer at the pantry bar mixes the best drinks. If you come to Folsom have a dd or plan on taking a cab. The cops watch this corner all night.
