amazing Lebanese food! we have searched high and low for good Shawarma like you get back east. We found La Shish on a trip through Edmonton and we were not disappointed. Garlic potatoes were hot and the garlic sauce was perfect, the pickled plate that came before dinner was a great touch. The shawarma plate was out of this world. Great portion, perfectly seasoned chicken, tons of rice, fresh salad and that amazing garlic sauce. We polished everything off and sat in contentment. the restaurant is nice, clean and welcoming, and the service was nice and subtle, not overly attentive but there when we needed it. Highly recommended if you are in the Edmonton area and looking for delicious Lebanese food.
I was going to meet a few friends at the Second Cup next door to the La Shish Taouk restaurant. I stopped in for a quick meal. I got cold bread and a tiny plate of broken olives (the seeds were broken inside it as well, I had to pick them out of my mouth) and when the eggplant came I was shocked at the size of it. It was the smallest portion for an $8 meal. Anyway, I ate it, and I've had stomach pains for the last 12 hours. And I can usually eat all other foods like a bottomless pit without feeling any discomfort. I have never written a review before about anything, but the experience was so pathetic that I actually woke up and this is the first thing I did. Don't support restaurant owners who have no desire to excel in their field. It's just another restaurant that will come and go faster than lightning because the owner doesn't know how to think. That's all. Pretty awful experience. Tired of seeing people who have no idea what they're doing as business owners.
Doesn't matter where you are born or what language do you speek,you can be rasist,a hatter or in any other state of mind.....BUT.....If you wana have fun and feel something diferent,If you wana enjoy a bottle of wine in a totaly different enviroment,If you want to have a healthy meal and see a different side of life and exotic beauties....Just go there....GO!Every saturday after 10 pm!If you not gonna like....come back here and do your thing*! {I am european and been in 12 countries,lived in many}
